| Care for You is family owned
and operated. Our family support and eldercare Companion Program
offers services that in the past were often provided by immediate
or extended family members. Unfortunately, extended families are
not as available as they used to be, especially in urban settings.
And in today’s fast-paced environment it’s often a challenge
just meeting the needs of the immediate family, without running
across town to look in on Mom or Dad.
At Care for You we feel there is a real benefit in having
a service that grows with the needs of the individual. First and
foremost, we recognize that for a support program to work for you
it must be comprehensive and flexible. Many organizations offer
“companion programs,” but they are typically rigid,
provide a narrow scope of services, and are set up for the convenience
of the provider.
The Care for You program contains several key features:
- Most services are “one-on-one,” so you’ll
know that the person who came yesterday is the same person who
will be there today.
- Companion services are staffed with our own employees, unlike
many agencies who use registries to staff work. This is just one
part of our quality-based, services delivery model.
- For certain services that typically fall into the “one
time only” category, Care for You has a network
of professionals with whom we have established strategic partnerships.
These professionals and services include: legal, carpentry, landscaping,
and special “hoarder services” to name a few.
Care for You hires only qualified individuals. Candidates
for employment with CfY complete an extensive application
that includes a multi-dimensional self assessment. Candidates are
typically interviewed by more than one CfY manager, and
reference checks include both prior employment and criminal background
checks. Upon employment, Care for You Companions are oriented
to the Company and trained in the CfY client-centric approach
to service delivery. All CfY employees participate in regular,
periodic training sessions. This allows for “cross-client”
sharing and problem solving, and provides for an in-depth understanding
of commonly encountered situations.
Care for You is an active member and participant in the
Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce and Grass Roots Organization
for the Wellbeing of Seniors (GROWS).
Care for You is the one company you can
turn to for all of your non-medical needs.
